The dream
In the dream a huge comet flies through space. Multicoloured, almost blinding, larger than anything, moving at its own pace.
Below orbit there is chaos. Loud voices, loud sounds, hectic life, everything at once. Above orbit there is silence. Nothing but the comet, passing.
I don’t know what it means. But that was the dream, and it was strong enough that the words came straight out of it: the sphere, the giant above it, and the quiet that is too much for the one watching from below. For a project called Cometfall, a dream about a comet was hard to ignore.
Above the sphere
the giant is here.
If you have a reading of it, I want to hear it. That is not a figure of speech; the comments are open on every post about this song.
From an acoustic guitar to orbit
The music is older than the dream. Cosmic Silence started as a really old acoustic guitar piece, fragile and quiet. Later it got converted into what it is now: a vast, airy, cosmos-reaching reverb rock song that builds to a big chorus.
You can still hear the acoustic piece in it. The record opens quiet and small, and then it lifts. The silence above orbit is the chorus; the chaos below is the rest of us.
It came out as a single first, in July 2026, and then closed the debut album Buried Elsewhere a month later as track 7. A record whose words roam the afterworld, space and time ends by looking up.
